WHAT 👏 A 👏 WEEK 👏!!!!
Jr. Ranger Camp was AWESOOOMMMEEE!!! Picture overload #1!!! Thanks to everyone who helped out with programs and behind the scenes to make this camp flow smoothly. We ALL had a blast! This camp is special because we have Reelfoot Lake State Park, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service partnering together. I also want to give a special thanks to Taylor Rodgers and Jase Dowdy for stepping in to teach the duck calling contest, too! I can’t add all of the photos at once, so there will be a few different posts.

Just a few quick pics of Reelfoot NWRs Youth Fishing Rodeo this last Saturday! Thanks to all of our Friends, volunteers, staff and contributors ! This year we had 6 environmental education booths for kids to complete before they could receive a prize. They learned about fish identification, snakes and mammals they may see while fishing, basic tackle box needs, a casting activity and more! We had 3 biggest fish prizes for each category, a ton of food and many many happy young fishermen and women! I’ll be sharing more photos next week!

More photos of the 2026 Jr. Duck Stamp Awards Ceremony! Again, I will share the "official" Discovery Park photos when they are ready. Also, I ask if you are patient with me as I send back the remainder of the artwork/awards and corrected certificates. Canoe trip pics on Reelfoot NWR from last week. We’ve finally gotten some good rain, so it’s great for kayaking and canoeing! This trip was so nice. Not too hot, some sun, some clouds and a little sprinkle of rain to cool us down at the end.
