Brindlee Mountain Volunteer Fire Department

Over the last few days BMVFD members,as well as support member Spencer Chadwick BMFA, spent several hours training on the Alabama Fire College Taylor’d Prop. This trailer offers vertical vent roof operations, forcible entry(both residential & commercial), VEIS search procedures, and other scenario based practices.
As of July 2026 BMVFD has offered over 75 hours of hosted fire department training!
This doesn’t include any fire ground or EMS training hours that individual firemen have obtained on their own personal time to better the community.

Investing in the skillset of the men and women that respond to your residence and business’s will always be a top priority.

BMVFD assisted with many fires under Arab Fire Captain Jerry Holmes.
Please join us in thoughts and prayers for the Holmes and Arab Fire family.

Retired Arab Fire Department Captain Jerry Holmes passed away yesterday morning (6/25/26). The Arab Fire Department asks that you join us in offering our thoughts and prayers for the Holmes family during this difficult time. Rest well Captain Holmes, we will keep the watch.

Certified rope rescue instructors from BMVFD, and Huntsville Cave Rescue Unit will be instructing.
Topics covered:
💥Brief overview of equipment & knots.
💥Confined space entry and rescue.
💥Victim removal from confined vertical applications.
💥Saturday overview of practices incorporating SCBA and confidence.
💦💦Water and light snack provided
🧀 Cheese for the whining WILL NOT be provided.

🚨UPDATE🚨
Brindlee Mtn VFD units have responded to Union Hill School for an active fire alarm. Proper evacuation precautions were in place and complete.
Units on scene quickly located the activation location and deemed the area safe. No fire source located.
Alarm was reset and the alarm company is in route to inspect the system.
💥School to resume with no delay💥
