🖤4 Days on 2 Days off which means your days off rotate

What shifts are you hiring for?
💛Our shifts are bid by seniority. Once you clear training you would be assigned to the 3:30-11:30pm or 11:30pm-7:30am depending on openings.

Overtime Opportunities
🖤there is an abundance of voluntary overtime available on multiple shifts once you are trained on your first position. That being said there is also mandatory overtime that is assigned on a rotating basis to maintain minimum staffing levels within the center.

🚒🌊 Training. Dedication. Readiness.

Over the past week, the Union Springs Fire Department was proud to host a Surface Water Rescue Technician course, instructed by the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control. Firefighters from departments across the region came together to take part in this demanding, hands-on training designed to prepare them for water rescue emergencies.

We’re especially proud to recognize four of our own members who successfully completed the rigorous course and are now certified Surface Water Rescue Technicians! 👏🎉

A total of four harmful algal blooms have been spotted in Cayuga Lake, according to data from the New York State DEC. Three of them were from last week alone. These ones are small and only impact their close vicinity, but if you spot one, don't touch it.
