🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day! 🇺🇸

Today we proudly celebrate the American flag—a symbol of freedom, unity, and the enduring spirit of our nation!

On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress adopted the design of our nation's first flag. For nearly 250 years, the Stars and Stripes have represented the sacrifices made by generations of Americans and the principles upon which our country was founded.

As we observe Flag Day, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy and the responsibilities we share as citizens.

Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve under our nation's flag!

🇺🇸 The Fallen Soldier Table 🇺🇸

Located inside the Franklin County Clerk’s Office is a special reminder that freedom is never free — the Fallen Soldier Table.

Every item placed on this table carries deep meaning and serves as a tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country!

The empty chair represents those who are missing from our gatherings.
The white tablecloth symbolizes the purity of their intentions to serve.
The single red rose reminds us of the lives and loved ones left behind.
The candle represents hope and remembrance.
The slice of lemon reminds us of the bitter loss felt by families and friends.
And the pinch of salt symbolizes the tears shed by those who mourn.

This table is more than a display it is a promise that these heroes will never be forgotten.

As people enter our office, we hope they take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy each day.
