Happy weekend, friends!!! 🌞

After we did such a fantastic job 💪 helping to deliver some little birthday 🎂 wishes to our Pokémon kiddo, the case worker 😇 reached out about another youth 🧑 he has on his caseload. He is also in a DMH home 🏡 and has a birthday 🎂 over the summer. The worker 😇 is looking to provide him some gifts 🎁 that will also keep his hands 👐 busy!

It's been while since we had a request that another agency couldn't fill, but today we have a fun one!
We have a soon to be 15 year old 👨‍🦰 in a Dept. of Mental Health home that has bonded with his new caseworker 😇 over their love of Pokémon! We thought it would be fun to gift him some cool 😎 stuff for his birthday 🎂. Any helpers out there? 🥳

We have a youth transitioning into his own place soon!!! 🤩
Let's talk about this young man 🙋 for a minute...
This youth was adopted from an overseas orphanage when he was 4 years old. Unfortunately, his parents turned him over to the State due to behaviors he had exhibited 😢, in early 2018, and he has remained in the foster care system since.
In 2024, his amazing CASA team 😇 did some research 🗂 and found that due to some adoption paperwork errors 🚫, he was actually not a legal citizen 😲! So, he got to work! While finishing up high school ✔️, he was busting behind to study for his citizenship test 📚. In September of 2025, he passed with flying colors 🤓 and took his oath to become a US citizen 🥳!
This young man has come so far, and even with bumps in the road, has learned how to be a responsible member of society 🫡! We have no doubt he will go far in life, so let's help give him a good start to adulthood!!! 🙏🥰

We have been on the hunt for a small kitchen table with 4 chairs 🪑 and a dishwasher 🍽🌀 for a single mom and kids 👩‍👦, for a few weeks now, with no luck on Marketplace 👎. OH HAPPY DAY!!!! 😁
Update on our family in need of the bed and teen aging out!
I (Admin Nikki) was able to deliver the bed frame 🛏 to Owensville last week, and yesterday the teen's 🙍‍♀️ worker 😇 gave her our card 💳 of well wishes, as she had her final court hearing 🧑‍⚖️!
(We haven't yet secured a mattress and box springs, but are still working on it).
In the last few weeks, we were also able to help connect a family (working with CASA) a washer 🫧 and dryer 🧺 set and a microwave 🔥, and a Mom working with Children’s Division a tank of gas ⛽️!

We hope the new year is bringing you luck and happiness 🥰! We want to give a HUGE SHOUT-OUT 🎉 to all our donors who have made some very happy 😁 and healthy 🤗 families in 2025!
We have been working hard 💪 on a few requests! A family in need of a bed 🛏 will get a brand new one from Marketplace, if we can get a venmo of 💲50!
We have a teen girl 💁‍♀️ aging out on 1/20. Due to an accident 🚑 (she is ok!), she is a little in over her head on bills, and could use some grocery gift cards 💳! We are hoping to gift her $200 in Aldi 🍞🍌🥔 cards, if we can! CAN WE MAKE THIS HAPPEN?!?!

IT'S SHOUT-OUT 🎉 TIME!!!
Thanks to donors Emily W, Jill, Jodi T, "🎄", Sarah, Anonymous, Amanda W, Kristie B, Jen M, our teen backyard grill master 🧑‍🍳and teen cleaner 🧼 are set with all these items!!!
Thanks to donors Sara G, Temme S, Ellen B, Jeff and Paige W, Kristy R, Shannon H, Amy P, Cyndi D, "J", Kali W, Jen M, "Santa's Helper", Sue, Jessica O, Erin and Patrick L, "Enjoy!" and Lynn R, our SIXTY kids got great gifts at the Family Holiday Party 🎅this past Saturday! We were able to gift 35 gifts and💲500 for the agency leaders to shop 🛒 kid- specific items!
