Weddington 6th Grade Football Rolls Piedmont 35-0! Defense leads the way in the shut out forcing multiple turnovers and pick 6 to seal it. The wildcat offense got going this week with a number of rushing scores and was difficult for the Piedmont defense to stop. Weddington looks to push their winning streak to 2 next week vs Holy Trinity.

📚💚 Happy First Day of School, Wildcats! 💙🐾 We’re excited to kick off a new school year AND a new season of Wildcat athletics!

🏈 Our 6th Grade Wildcats took the field this weekend against Sun Valley!

The score may not have reflected the grit we saw on the field, but these boys worked hard, battled until the end, and left it all out there. We are proud of the effort and heart they showed and can’t wait to watch them keep growing this season!

Our Cross Country team was also ready to hit the trails this weekend, but Friday’s rain left the course too muddy and the meet had to be canceled. 🌧️👟 We know our runners are ready to get out there soon!

And there’s plenty more Wildcat action coming up this week! 💚💙

🚧 BIG THINGS are happening at Wray Field! 🚧

The Wray Field Expansion Project is officially underway! If you’ve been by WMS, you’ve probably seen the equipment moving and construction happening — and we could not be more excited!

📅 SAVE THE DATE — OCTOBER 2ND!

Wray Field should be completed by then, and we’re planning a BIG tailgate to celebrate with all of our Wildcats and community! 💚💙 After the tailgate, we’ll head over to WHS for their Homecoming football game AND Pink Out! 🩷🏈

It’s going to be such an exciting year at WMS with some BIG things happening!

If you haven’t joined the Wildcat Club yet, now is the perfect time! Your Wildcat Club membership directly supports ALL athletics at WMS and helps make projects and improvements like these possible.

And speaking of WMS Athletics… FALL SPORTS ARE HERE! 🎉

🏈 Tomorrow our 6th Grade Football team kicks off the season against Sun Valley at Parkwood at 9:00 AM!

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Our Cross Country Wildcats hit the trails at Metrolina at 9:00 AM!
