Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, and brothers and sisters in blue of Greenwood Police Department as they mourn the loss of K9 Unit Officer Don “DJ” Keller, age 31, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
We also continue to pray for comfort for his wife, young daughter, fellow officers, and all who knew and loved him.
Officer Keller served his country in the U.S. Army and continued that service through law enforcement with honor and dedication. His sacrifice and commitment to protecting others will never be forgotten.

I cannot express how proud I am of this FD. Two days in a row they have taken upon themselves to do training. Granted this is not our scheduled training so this proves heart and desire. Keep up the great work!!!

SCFC TO LIFT BURNING BAN FOR 12 UPSTATE COUNTIES WEDNESDAY

The South Carolina Forestry Commission will lift the State Forester's Burning Ban for 12 counties in the Piedmont region of the state, effective at 7 a.m., Wednesday, April 29.
The counties coming off the burning ban are Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Chester, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg, Union and York (see map).
