BCLUW Middle School Student Council planned activities in recognition of National Pet Week. They offered the students educational and fun activities related to all kinds of animals: farm, ocean, safari, endangered, and pets. Each homeroom was assigned a marine animal/fish to learn about its habitat, behavior, and diet. Each homeroom then created a display that showed what they learned. These students are hanging up their completed display. Stay tuned for pictures of all the great displays. Along with the classroom activities, the student council set up a concession stand to raise money for the Marshalltown Animal Rescue League. The students are hoping the funds will be used for food, treats, and toys for the animals there. (Credit to Mrs. Bonzer for all of our posts today!)

Conrad American Legion Auxiliary #681, We want to extend a heartfelt thank you for the wonderful snacks you sent our way during Teacher Appreciation week. Your generosity is truly appreciated, and we are grateful for the partnership we have built over the years. From the Poppy posters, to the Veterans Day program and your donations for patriotic books, our students have greatly benefited from your support and interactions. Joanne Klein has been a great go-between for the Auxiliary.
