🎉 We are thrilled to share a story of true professional generosity at LH! Mrs. Jennifer Nesser, a 2026 PA Teacher of the Year Finalist, reached out to the Laurel Highlands Academic Foundation with a selfless request: she asked that the foundation reward her colleague and 2027 PA Teacher of the Year Semi-Finalist, Mrs. Jill John, to support her accomplishment and classroom.

The Foundation was so moved by this gesture that we decided to double the impact!

A $250 award was granted to Mrs. John in honor of her hard work and achievement. In addition, $250 was also awarded to Mrs. Nesser in recognition of her thoughtfulness and her own stellar efforts as one of the twelve 2026 finalists.

These awards were made possible through the Jim Tobal Fund as a testament to his legacy.
