Behavior Specialist — Indiana Region
Full-Time | Starting at $29.72/hour | Excellent Benefits

Fayette Resources, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Specialist to join our Indiana Region team. This position supports adults with intellectual disabilities and autism by developing positive, person-centered strategies that help individuals succeed in their homes and communities.

The Behavior Specialist is responsible for completing Functional Behavior Assessments, developing Positive Behavior Support Plans, monitoring plan effectiveness, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support individuals with challenging behaviors.

Ideal candidates will have:

A Pennsylvania Behavior Specialist License, be in the process of applying for licensure, or hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field.

Candidates should also have strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to work a flexible schedule, and a commitment to collaborative, person-centered support. Supervisory experience is a plus. A valid Pennsylvania driver’s license is required.

This is a full-time position with a starting wage of $29.72 per hour and an excellent benefits package.

Last Friday, our Allegheny Region came together for a Memorial Day gathering filled with music, laughter, food, and time spent with friends.

As we enjoy moments of connection this weekend, we also pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice made these freedoms and moments together possible.

A huge congratulations to our DuBois Region for participating in Special Olympics!

This year, 42 participants took part in the event, supported by an incredible team of Direct Support Professionals and Fayette Resources employees who showed up with encouragement, energy, and pride.

Special Olympics is about so much more than competition. It is about confidence, connection, teamwork, and celebrating each person’s strengths. We are so proud of everyone who participated and grateful to the amazing staff who helped make the day meaningful, supportive, and fun.

Way to go, DuBois Region! 🎉

Rotary Club of Connellsville welcomed Georgiana Provance, Director of Government Relations and Corporate Communications at Fayette Resources as a recent guest speaker.
Fayette Resources, Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded in Fayette County in 1991. The organization supports adults and children with disabilities across five counties, with its Fayette Region being the largest.
Services include 24/7 staffed community homes, Community Participation Supports day programs, behavioral and mental health support, and Life Sharing. Through these programs, Direct Support Professionals and other team members help individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism build independence, develop skills, participate in meaningful activities, and stay connected to their communities.
Fayette Resources also offers consultation and training related to intellectual disabilities, autism, and co-occurring mental health needs.
The mission of Fayette Resources is to empower individuals with disabilities by providing high-quality, individualized services that promote independence, informed decision-making, choice, growth, acceptance, and respect.
In 2015, Fayette Resources became the first residential program in the United States to obtain the National Association of Dual Diagnosis (NADD) certification. With support from his DSP, Sierra, he’s been able to get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and spend time doing something he really enjoys.

That’s what it’s all about—supporting people to explore their interests, try new things, and make the most of these beautiful days.

Nothing complicated, just a beautiful day outside.

Jessica and Helene spent time along the Youghiogheny river, enjoying the fresh air, the scenery, and each other’s company. Time like this matters, getting outdoors, slowing down a bit, and connecting with the people around you.

Fayette County is home to some incredible stretches of the Great Allegheny Passage and other local Rails to Trails, offering space to walk, talk, and take it all in.
