Lunchroom Reminder: Keeping Our Students Healthy & Focused!

Dear WBE Families,

As we settle into the new school year, we want to share a quick reminder regarding lunchroom expectations to help ensure our students have the best possible day at school.

We strongly discourage students from bringing carbonated beverages (sodas, energy drinks, fizzy drinks, etc.) to drink with their lunches.

Our goal is to foster a healthy mind, body, and learning environment for every child. High-sugar and carbonated drinks often lead to energy spikes, mid-afternoon crashes, and upset stomachs, making it harder for students to focus and participate during class.

Thank you for your partnership in promoting healthy habits that set our students up for success every day!

Our After School program will begin on Tuesday, September 1. An application form was given to each family who checked a box during enrollment to show interest. These applications are due on August 25th. Each program has a set number of spots, make sure to get yours on or before that date. Thank you for your cooperation! We look forward to seeing your children in after school!

WBE Hydration and Water Bottle Guidelines:

Proper hydration is key to keeping our students energized, focused, and ready to learn! To support this, every student has been provided with a WBE water bottle.

If you choose to send a personal water bottle from home instead, please ensure it meets our campus guidelines:

Clear/See-Through (No glass)

Water only (No drink mixes, powders, or flavor infusers)

Spill-resistant lid

Arrives at school empty (Students fill them at designated school stations)

Sent home for cleaning

Thank you for your partnership and support in making the start of this school year a success. It is going to be a fantastic year at WBE!

The UHS Booster Club steering committee met last night and we’re excited for another year of supporting students throughout the school year!

We would love to have as many community members and businesses as possible join us in our mission to support kids. We are sending out letters to past donors today in the mail. You can fill out the form and send it back, or feel free to reach out and we can email you a form or simply take your information over email and you can drop a check in the mail or drop one off at either school building.

Your family name or business name will be listed as a booster member in all home athletic programs throughout the entire school year!

We were able to help several athletic and activity teams last year with equipment purchases and hope to continue helping these teams succeed this year!

If dropping off at WBE, please leave it for Jackie Shadden or April Stock. If dropping off at UHS/UJH please leave it for Scott Sutton.

Email Scott Sutton with any questions:
