The Albert Gallatin Area School District is located in the southwestern portion of Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Secretary of the Treasury, planner of the Lewis and Clark expedition, engineer of the financial details of the Louisiana Purchase and founder of New York University. The school district serves the boroughs of Masontown, Fairchance, Point Marion, and Smithfield. It also serves German, Sp

The Albert Gallatin administration was made aware of a Snapchat post regarding the TikTok trend "Cat in the Hat" showing up at the high school tomorrow. We feel that there is no immediate threat but will take extra precautions. We will increase officer presence around the district on 8/28 and at after school events.

Update:

The district, in coordination with the Pennsylvania State Police, has thoroughly investigated this matter. All individuals involved have been identified, and appropriate consequences have been issued.

At this time, there is no credible threat to our students, staff, or community. We appreciate the cooperation of everyone involved and will continue to prioritize the safety and security of our schools.
