The library is open to all, and members of the public are welcome to borrow from the library regardless of residency. The library offers a wide variety of books, newspapers, magazines, audiobooks, DVDs, and video games. If we don’t have what you’re looking for, we can usually order a copy with our free int

erlibrary loan service. We also offer free access to digital materials including ebooks, e-audiobooks, digital magazines, and research databases - all available through our website.

Summer Reading may have come to an end, but we’re already looking ahead to what’s next at the library! We’re working on our newsletter and planning upcoming programs, and we want your ideas, suggestions, and wants for programming in our community.

And don’t worry, our regularly scheduled programming is still happening! All of your favorite recurring programs will continue as scheduled. We’re simply looking for new ideas and activities to add to the mix!

National Night Out was an incredible evening filled with community, smiles, and so much fun! 💙
We are beyond thankful to everyone who came out, visited our booth, and helped make the night such a success. Events like these remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such an amazing community, and we're already looking forward to next year!

💙 One young girl is turning her own storm experience into something that could help countless others.

After taking shelter with her family during a tornado warning this spring, she realized how stressful it was trying to gather important items at the last minute. Instead of letting that experience end there, she came up with the idea to create Weather Ready Kits for other families in our community.
Each kit includes helpful emergency items like a flashlight, a small first aid kit, a whistle, and a deck of cards, along with a checklist of additional supplies families can add at home. Her hope is simple: to help others feel a little more prepared and a little less scared when severe weather strikes.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, she has already raised over $500 to continue making these kits available free of charge! 👏
The Columbia Township Library is proud to help support her amazing project by collecting additional donations for anyone who would like to contribute. Every dollar will help create more Weather Ready Kits for local families.

🌩️ She'll be at National Night Out handing out FREE kits while supplies last!

📚 Didn't get one that evening? Don't worry! In the coming weeks, we'll be hosting a day at the library where families can stop by and pick up a kit while supplies last.

Sometimes the biggest community impact starts with one small idea—and one big heart. We're so proud to help share hers. ❤️
