The Recorder’s Office will close at noon on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

If you need a deed recorded immediately, please use our electronic recording service http://www.icounty.com and email [email protected] to notify us of your recording.

We will resume normal business hours on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

Just a reminder- the last day to file as a candidate for the April 7, 2026 election is 12/30/25 until 5:00 p.m.

The Putnam County Recorder’s Office will be ending recordings at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, so year-end procedures can be performed. In order to guarantee recordings for the year 2025 they must be received in the Recorder’s Office no later than 12:00 pm.

Tuesday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Recording Deadlines:

Tuesday – Thursday: Documents must be submitted by 11:45 AM to ensure same-day recording.

Friday: Documents must be submitted by 11:15 AM to ensure same-day recording.

We’ve added a few Index Books for a trial run, and we’d love your feedback. This new option allows you to continue your searches even when our office is closed for holidays or due to inclement weather.

It also allows you to find book and page references that may not yet be available in the system. Once you’ve located the book and page you need, you can request the document from our office.
