Attention Voters: Absentee voting begins on June 23rd. County Clerk’s office hours are Mon-Fri from 8:30-noon and 1:00-4:30. PROPER PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED

JULY 8th- last day to register to vote for the August election.

JULY 21- No-excuse in person absentee voting begins

AUGUST 1st- County Clerk’s office will be open from 8:00 to Noon for absentee voting

AUGUST 4th- Election Day

Putnam County Courthouse offices will be closed on Friday, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth.

Just a reminder that in observance of Memorial Day, all courthouse offices will be closed on Monday, May 25th.

Putnam County has carts, bins, and rolling suitcases available. Rolling carts are able to be folded for storage. Bins have a removable top along with a cover. Suitcases have multiple zippers for easy access. These items were used for elections and are no longer needed. If any persons or local business is interested, please contact the County Clerk’s office and 660-947-2674.

The Putnam County Clerks office is accepting applications for the following position:
DEPUTY COUNTY CLERK

A brief summary of the job duties are as follows but not limited to:

• Data entry
• General Office Duties
• Budgeting
• Financials such as accounts payable and payroll
• Assist County Clerk with elections
• Assist County Clerk as needed

Qualifications:

• Self-motivated and detail oriented
• Strong interpersonal skills for public interaction
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proficient in computer operations.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs (election equipment)
• Must be able to identify and maintain confidential information.
