🎓🚑 Celebrating Two Incredible Milestones 🚒🎓

Today we are proud to recognize the accomplishments of Jenny and Konnor, who have each reached major milestones in their journeys.

Jenny has graduated from college and successfully earned her Paramedic certification. Through hard work, dedication, and countless hours of studying, training, and clinical experience, she has achieved a goal that will allow her to make a lasting difference in the lives of others. We are excited to see the impact she will have in EMS and our community!

Konnor has graduated from high school while also spending the past two years pursuing his passion for public safety. During that time, he successfully completed both his Firefighter and EMT training, demonstrating a commitment and work ethic well beyond his years. His dedication to serving others has already laid the foundation for a bright future in the fire and EMS profession.

Watching both of them grow, learn, and achieve their goals has been inspiring. Their accomplishments are a testament to perseverance, determination, and a desire to serve their communities.

Congratulations, Jenny and Konnor! Your hard work has paid off, and we can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes you. The future of Fire & EMS is brighter because of people like you.

đźš‘ Congratulations Class of 2026! đźš‘

As EMS Week comes to an end, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank the incredible crews of Unity Ambulance for the dedication, compassion, and perseverance they continue to show every single day.

No matter the hour, the weather, or the challenge, our providers continue to answer the call and stand ready to support the communities we serve. The work is not always easy, but the commitment our crews show to patient care, teamwork, and this community never goes unnoticed.

EMS is more than responding to emergencies — it is also about taking care of each other. Behind every call is a team that supports one another through long shifts, difficult calls, challenges, and victories. The strength of EMS comes from the people beside us, reminding each other that no one has to carry the weight alone.

We also want to thank our community for the continued support you show our organization and our providers. Your kindness, encouragement, and trust mean more than you know. Whether it’s a simple thank you, a wave from the roadside, donations, or continued support of our service — it makes a difference.

We are proud to serve this community, and even more proud of the team that continues to stand together and persevere through every challenge.

From all of us at Unity Ambulance — thank you for allowing us to serve you and for supporting those who support this community every day.

As always, we are incredibly thankful for our crews and everything they do for this community each and every day.

— Chief Robbins & Chief Munger

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the crew members who responded to and operated on scene, as well as the family members and loved ones affected by the tragic accident in Searsmont. Tonight, the fire service and first responder community mourn the heartbreaking loss of one of our own.

As the night goes on and crews continue to work tirelessly on scene, please keep them in your thoughts. Calls like these take a tremendous emotional and physical toll on everyone involved.

Please keep the firefighter’s family, responding agencies, and the entire community in your thoughts tonight.

EMS Week is just around the corner, and we have an exciting update!

Thank you to everyone who helped support the donation of our new picnic table — we officially have one on the way! This will give our crews a great place to take a quick break, share a meal, and recharge while staying ready to respond for our community.

We have also received several additional donations that will go toward more employee-directed items to support our staff and station.

The support from our community means more than you know, and we truly appreciate everyone who has contributed so far.

If anyone would still like to donate or support our crews during EMS Week, please feel free to reach out to us directly!

Thank you for continuing to support Unity Ambulance and the people who serve our communities every day. đźš‘

In recognition of EMS Week, Unity Ambulance is looking to make a small but meaningful improvement for our crews. We’re hoping to add a picnic table outside our station—giving our staff a place to take a quick break, share a meal, and recharge while staying ready to respond to emergencies.

We’re reaching out to see if any local businesses, organizations, or community members would be interested in donating or sponsoring a picnic table for our team.

EMS Week is all about recognizing the dedication of emergency medical providers—and this would be a lasting way to support the people who care for our community every day.

👉 As a thank you, we will place a small sponsor plaque on the table recognizing your support.

**ANNOUNCEMENT**

Three years ago, our original Unit 200 — a 2012 Ford E-450 — suffered significant mechanical issues that ultimately could not be repaired. At the time, we were fortunate to acquire a 2011 GMC 4500 from Howland Fire & Rescue. That truck served us well and helped bridge a critical gap, but it was always a temporary solution.

Since then, we’ve been working behind the scenes to find a long-term replacement that meets the needs of our service and the communities we serve.

On March 24th, we officially took delivery of our new Unit 200 — a 2025 Ford E-450 Demers Ambulance.

A big thank you to Autotronics LLC and Kyle Daigle for helping make this purchase possible and guiding us through the process. We would also like to thank Bangor Savings Bank for their assistance in helping make this purchase a reality.

Over the past few weeks, our crews have been hard at work outfitting and preparing the unit for service. On April 8th, Unit 200 handled its first official call.

This new ambulance represents a major investment in our system — improving reliability, safety, and our ability to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Stay tuned for more photos and updates as Unit 200 continues to serve our community

A winter storm is on the way, and it’s shaping up to be a snowy one! Now’s a great time to make sure you have the basics ready — snacks, medications, flashlights, batteries, and anything you might need if the power goes out.

When the snow starts flying, please avoid heading out unless it’s absolutely necessary. Giving the roads a break helps keep everyone safer and lets emergency crews get where they need to go more quickly.

Unity Ambulance will have a crew on during the storm and will remain ready to respond. In the event of an emergency, please call 911.

Until then, stay safe, and enjoy the snow from indoors if you can. ❄️ 🚑
