***Winter Storm Warning 1/24/26 - 1/26/26***

If you haven't seen yet there is the potential for a large amount of snow to hit our area starting on Saturday the 24th and ending Monday the 26th. Now is the time to start preparing. Here are some things to consider;

What issues can arise for you if the Governor closes roads or they simply become impassable?

- Do you have enough fuel to heat your home if deliveries become impossible?

- Can your elderly family member get the care they need?

- Do you have enough food?

- Do you have enough medication to last until roads are useable?

- Do you have an inexperienced driver in the household that may be caught in the storm due to a job or other obligation?

What if electricity gets knocked out?

- Do you have water stored if you're on a well system?

- Do you have a way to stay warm if you have heat that needs electricity to operate?

- Do you have medical needs that could be impacted by impassable roads or no electricity?

- Do you have a way to charge your cell phones?

- Do you have a landline to call 911 in an emergency. You can still call if you do not have phone service but, you need a landline phone plugged into a phone jack on the wall.
