Universal City Police Department Integrity - Community Safety - Service - Quality

The Universal City Police Department is staffed with thirty sworn full-time officers. Sworn officer staffing includes the Chief of Police, Assistant Chief of Police, four Lieutenants, four Sergeants, three Criminal Investigators and nineteen officers. The Police Department also employs eight Communication Operators in the Emergency Services Center, and three Administrative Assistants/Records Clerks in the Police Administrative Office.

Universal City Animal Care & Control

Below is information on the UC Animal Care Facility opening and limited access. No word on the dog park at this time.

Beginning Friday, May 1st the UC Animal Shelter will open with limited access to the facility. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this transition period. Please follow us on Facebook for updates to our protocols.

1. Visitors are asked to knock on the front door.
2. Visitors must wear a mask or face covering.
3. Hands must be washed and/or sanitized before entering the building.
4. Social distancing must be maintained.
5. Licensing by mail is encouraged or permitted in the building one person at a time.
6. Trap rentals, please call in advance for availability status.
7. You may view animals on Petfinder.com or Universal City Animal Care & Control page. We encourage pet adoptions by appointment.
8. For those highly interested in adoption; only 1 family will be permitted in the adoption wing at a time.

The gentleman, pictured in the last two pictures, was quite a bit bigger than Officer Myers, but she improvised and was able to dislodge the item before EMS or UC Fire arrived.
