ITP - Integrated Technology Platform

ITP - Integrated Technology Platform The Integrated Technology Platform establishes the “Next” generation of AR/VR/MR training.

ITP explores new technologies & methodologies to define how they can integrate with curricula to support future-focused learning for Airmen across all MAJCOMs.

What an amazing week at LoA! The AETC team was honored to showcase the ever expanding Integrated Technologies Platform (ITP).

We have delivered over 130 high fidelity virtual reality training modules on 22 aircraft and have many more in the pipeline. LoA was an outstanding chance to showcase just how fast we are making dreams become a reality.

The ITP team is able to leverage its ATO and Agile contracting to built and deliver full aircraft and training modules in just months from request to delivery. AETC stands proud by one of its major efforts reshaping rapid acquisition and training on demand.

ITP strives to squeeze the most out of every Air Force dollar by setting a new “No Keys / No Fees” standard and sharing all purchased content AF wide once delivered.

Cheers to shaping tomorrow’s future and we cant wait to see what 2022 brings!

This week, our team traveled to Dyess to scan additional tasks for the C-130J. These scanned tasks will be used to create VR learning modules.

Once developed, these modules can be accessed at any time to enhance training and increase an Airman’s proficiency and competency.

The Integrated Technology Platform (ITP) is accelerating change via its Other Transaction Authority (OTA) contract and modernizing the way we train and equip our Airmen.

Our support contractor, Mass Virtual Inc. (MVI) has developed XR modules to support requirements for 22 aircraft (and counting!) worldwide. ITP is currently deployed at 44 bases, and continues to grow!

“Multiple aircrew from Operational Flying ✈ Squadrons went head-to-head to remedy a Fire🔥 and Smoke, scenario onboard the E-8C JSTARS aircraft. While being graded on their ability to effectively utilize Crew Resource Management (emergency checklist procedures🚨, passing oxygen bottles, etc.), they competed for the best time to extinguish🧯a very realistic fire; something impossible to replicate during real-world missions.”

The use of Virtual Reality in military training has several benefits:

1. VR proves to be a viable, cost-effective alternative.

2. Unlike live training, VR does not require the use of real munitions and resources.

3. VR can simulate any kind of training, re-creating different environments.

4. Specific training can be carried out at ANY time thanks to detailed reconstruction and the high number of possible offerings.

YOU set the requirements. ITP helps make it happen.

“AETC is working to build a faster and smarter Air Force in partnership with multiple MAJCOMs to develop a competency-based virtual and augmented-reality training capability for the aircraft maintenance and career enlisted aviator communities.

As part of its Integrated Technology Platform (ITP) initiative, virtual training hangars are being built for the classroom and flightline with 3D Aircraft Mission Design Series environments for every airframe in AETC inventory, with robust augmented-reality capabilities and comprehensive instructor tools, with a goal to enable training ANYWHERE and ANY TIME.”
