Registration for our First Responders Youth Cadet Academy is open. June 1-5 from 8am-1pm with family graduation on Saturday June 6th. This academy is open to 12-14 yr. Priority will be given to UC Residents, UC Grandchildren and children of anyone who works in Universal City. This week they will get to learn about Fire, Police, and EMS work. They will put out fires, learn CPR, and Stop the bleed. This is a great hands on experience. This is a FREE event with breakfast and lunch served. Maintaining a high level of service and commitment to the Northeast🔥

This past week, Universal City Fire crews, alongside our brothers and sisters from surrounding departments, participated in the No Quit RIT course.

Throughout the training, crews focused on a wide range of rescue techniques, sharpening the critical skills required of a Rapid Intervention Team (RIT).
These dedicated crews are assigned on fire scenes to stand ready and respond immediately if a firefighter encounters an emergency on the fireground.

Training like this reinforces what matters most; preparation, teamwork, and bringing everyone home safely.

A big thank you to all of the departments and instructors who helped make this training possible and continue to invest in the safety and success of our personnel.

Today, UCFD held a badge pinning ceremony, marking the completion of Firefighter Tellander’s probationary period.

Our probationary process is designed to give every new member the tools, training, and support they need to succeed from day one.

Brad joins us at UC after professionally firefighting for over 15 years in the San Antonio area. He has brought a lot to the table and we’re proud to officially add him to our ranks.
