Elections a a performance review. And there have been some very poor decisions coming out of Olympia. It is time for a change.

More taxes will not solve the problems in Olympia. We need to look at where money is being spent and if those programs are working. Otherwise our tax money is being wasted. We work hard for our money. It is time we get representatives in office that understand what responsible and accountable stewardship of our tax money means.

☕ I spent this morning with some amazing people at Espresso Yourself in Fircrest, talking about what’s happening in Washington, the issues affecting our communities, and the campaign ahead.

I’m grateful for the thoughtful questions, great conversation, encouragement, and support. These smaller gatherings matter because representation should start with listening to the people you serve—not simply accepting what comes out of Olympia.

I’m running because I believe the 28th District deserves a representative who will ask hard questions, look honestly at the results of decisions being made, challenge what isn’t working, and put the people of this district ahead of politics as usual.

As we head toward November, the choice is becoming clear: Do we continue down the same path, or choose a different direction?

The status quo isn’t working. We can change it.

This isn’t just happening in Kent. Businesses across Washington are feeling the pressure.

Retail theft is already taking a toll. Add higher B&O taxes, new taxes on services such as consulting and certain training, and the rising cumulative cost of doing business, and some businesses are being pushed to the point where staying open or staying in Washington no longer makes sense.

When a business closes or leaves, we don’t just lose a storefront. We lose jobs, local spending, investment, and opportunities in our communities.

We cannot keep making it harder and more expensive to do business in Washington and expect businesses to simply absorb the consequences.

If we keep electing the same leadership and pursuing the same policies, we should expect more of the same.

This November, we have a choice. Washington can do better.

As the first election results come in, I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported our campaign so far.

Whether you volunteered, displayed a yard sign, contributed financially, opened your home for a neighborhood gathering, shared a post, encouraged a friend to vote, or simply took the time to have a conversation with me—thank you. This campaign has always been about people—built one conversation, one relationship, and one act of service at a time.

With Washington's vote-by-mail system, ballots are still being counted, and every valid vote deserves to be counted. I am grateful to everyone who took the time to participate in this election.

Public service has guided my life, from serving our country in the U.S. Army to caring for patients as a Nurse Practitioner, and that commitment remains unchanged today.

Over the next few days, we'll continue to watch the results as every ballot is counted. Then we'll begin the next chapter of this campaign with the same determination and commitment to serving our community that brought us here.

Thank you for believing in this campaign, for believing in our community, and for believing that experienced, accountable, and principled leadership still matters.

Onward to November.

Last night I had the privilege of spending the evening with a wonderful group of neighbors in a private home for one of our community gatherings. While these conversations don't always produce many photos, they often produce something even more valuable—honest dialogue.

With more than 20 people gathered around the table and on the deck, we had thoughtful conversations about the issues affecting our families, our businesses, our schools, and our future. Everyone had the opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and be heard.

These smaller gatherings remind me why I'm running. Real representation starts by listening—not just speaking. It happens one conversation at a time, one neighborhood at a time.

Thank you to our gracious hosts and to everyone who spent their evening with us. I truly appreciate your time, your ideas, and your willingness to engage in respectful discussion.

I look forward to many more conversations across the 28th District. If you'd like to host a neighborhood gathering, I'd love the opportunity to meet with your friends and neighbors as well.

I've been catching up on a few photos from the past several weeks, and I wanted to share some from an afternoon I spent at the McMillin Farm for a Patriots of Liberty event.

One of the most rewarding parts of this campaign has been the opportunity to get out into our community, meet people from all walks of life, and have genuine conversations about the future of Washington.

Throughout the afternoon, I met so many thoughtful, engaged people who share a common desire for a Legislature that is accountable to the people it serves. Whether we talked about affordability, public safety, education, supporting small businesses, or simply restoring trust in government, the message was clear: people want leaders who will listen, be transparent, and focus on practical solutions.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit with me. I always leave these conversations with a deeper appreciation for the people of the 28th Legislative District and an even stronger commitment to represent you with integrity, common sense, and accountability.

I'm looking forward to many more opportunities to listen, learn, and earn your trust.
