Huge thanks to everyone who came out today to support the RRPD’s Step N2 Success event. Thanks to this community, local school kids walked away with brand new shoes — and some very big smiles.

A special thank you to the RRPD for putting this together and letting us be part of it, and to our volunteers who gave up their Sunday morning to help. You made it happen.

No kid sleeps on the floor in our town.
That’s the mission of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and this past weekend our members joined the Bastrop Rotary Club to help make it happen — building bunk beds for local children who don’t have a bed of their own.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a volunteer-powered nonprofit that cuts, sands, stains, and assembles bunk beds, then delivers them free of charge — mattress and bedding included — to families whose kids are sleeping on floors, couches, or shared blankets. A good night’s sleep changes everything for a child: their health, their focus at school, their sense of safety at home.

A few hours of sawdust and teamwork turns into a real bed for a kid who’s never had one. That’s a pretty good trade.
Thank you to the Bastrop Rotary Club for organizing, and to every volunteer who showed up and picked up a drill.

Together, We Inspire. 💙💛

What an incredible opportunity to connect with Rotary leaders from across our district! Earlier today, Rotarians gathered with Rotary International Director Tom Gump to share ideas, strengthen our commitment to service, and be reminded of the impact we can make when we work together.

As Rotary’s theme says, “Together, We Inspire.” Every conversation, every partnership, and every act of service helps create stronger communities both locally and around the world.
