Investing in our youth:

"I look each of you in the eyes and can tell you're all loving and you're all valuable," HPD Assistant Chief Patricia Cantu told teen members of our Youth Police Advisory Council (YPAC) at HPD Headquarters.

Students were captivated as Chief Cantu shared her own life experiences on bullying, su***de & peer pressure growing up in our city's Eastside. Many teens shared their own experiences with Chief Cantu in an open, honest and frank discussion.

Since 1997, YPAC has fostered communication and trust between HPD and area youth, encouraging teens to share knowledge gained with fellow students and their communities.
