Today is a day to memorialize the sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, men and women, husbands and wives, moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas who paid the until sacrifice for our nation.

The art installation at Normandy a few years back attempts to visualize the sacrifice and toll of June 6, 1944 (D-Day). The images is a good visual to teach the history of D-Day.

We are free because of the brave. Today remember the brave who never made it home.

Summer is around the corner and if (when) we enter Phase 5 on June 11 pools will be open for normal operations!

We are closely following all state safety guidelines and adapting as soon as we are able. If Phase 5 begins on June 11, we will offer swimming at all six pools without a reservation system. Next week is Bring Your Child to Work Week. Many employers are still working in hybrid / remote models, including Northrop Grumman Corporation.

Follow the link below to view the Northrop Grumman STEM resources and the "Northrop Grumman Virtual Take Your Child to Work Week" program. All families can register for the Zoom sessions (noon central time). Expose your children to what career in STEM can bring.

With Monday being a no school day, considering registering for the F/A-18 Hornet Pilot Talk and Virtual Tour. "Take flight with three Northrop Grumman test pilots as they discuss their experience flying the US Navy F/1A-18 Hornet and their careers in aerospace. Northrop Grumman will also be premiering our virtual tour of the F/A-18 manufacturing line at our facility in El Segundo, CA."

Explore Northrop Grumman's library of education resources, which contains links to resources for teachers, students and families with an interest in STEM.
