Today, unanimously elected Representative Kevin Hern to be Chairman for the 118th Congress.
Chairman-elect Hern previously led the budget and spending task force and as Chairman will be the leading voice in our fight to rein in the Democrats’ reckless spending.
Chairman Congressman Jim Banks, U.S. Representative Chip Roy Press Office, Congresswoman Kat Cammack, Congressman August Pfluger, Representative Tom Tiffany, Representative Lisa McClain, Congressman Tim Burchett and Rep. Mike Carey have requested a meeting with President Biden to share dozens of obituaries from grieving parents across the country.
"My only child is gone. This is about saving others' children… I decided to collect obituaries from parents across the country to hopefully make President Biden see what is happening in this country,” said Patricia Drewes who organized the collection.
"...We will not see him fall in love, marry, have our grandbabies, nor see him become the incredible man we believed he was destined to become," said Lori Ashenfelder who lost her son DJ to fentanyl last year.
"Parents all across our nation are having to bury their children in record numbers, while our pleas and call to action are ignored by those who can effectively make a difference,” said Theresa Juillerat who lost her son Christopher at the age of 23.

On this somber anniversary, we remember the thousands of lives lost 21 years ago today.
May we September 11th.
Welcome to the Green New Deal future.
Just say no to the Democrats’ radical reconciliation bill!
Chairman Congressman Jim Banks has released a memo outlining the 50 worst provisions in the Democrats’ radical reconciliation bill.
It’s even worse than you think. Read more from Fox News here:
House conservatives, including the Republican Study Committee led by Rep. Jim Banks, can't stop Democrats' reconciliation bill. They still plan to fight it.
Today, we lost one of our greatest members. Jackie Walorski lived a life of public service and was a friend to all who knew her. Please join us in praying for Jackie’s family and friends and for the loved ones of her two staffers who also lost their lives in this tragic accident.
Thank you to former Chairman Vice President Mike Pence for joining us this morning 🇺🇸
Yesterday, Chairman Congressman Jim Banks and Congressman French Hill held a roundtable on the economic consequences of “ESG” with Blaine Luetkemeyer and Congressman Andy Barr.
ESG is a form of corporate wokeness that fuels inflation, increases energy prices, and is a complete scam.
For working families, every trip to the grocery store is a reminder of Joe Biden’s failed presidency.
Americans are paying the price for Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's radical spending.
Thank you to Dr Jordan B Peterson for joining lunch today!
Another record-breaking month of inflation. American families are suffering from the Democrats’ reckless spending, yet Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's solution is to keep spending more.
Thank you to Senator Mike Braun, Senator Kevin Cramer, Senator Dan Sullivan, Senator Rick Scott, and Senator Marco Rubio for helping to sound the alarm on the United States Innovation and Competition Act also known as USICA. For the past year, RSC has vocally opposed the Schumer led bill in its many forms. This legislation would serve to benefit the communist nation.
The Republican Study Committee introduced the most comprehensive legislation to tackle the growing threat of Communist China head on. Among many other provisions, the Countering Communist China Act invests in our ability to combat Chinese malign influence, prohibits the communist party from accessing US financial institutions, and holds China accountable for covering up the COVID19 pandemic.

Good. The Biden administration has not only allowed, but encouraged this invasion.
Earlier this year, Chairman Congressman Jim Banks urged every House Republican to support Congressman Jodey Arrington's resolution affirming the constitutional right of border states to defend against this invasion.

Happy birthday to our 45th President 🇺🇸
member Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne on the Budget:
Instead of spending money as fast as Joe Biden leaves for Delaware, it is time for fiscal responsibility in Washington.
Yesterday, I, along with my Republican Study Committee colleagues, introduced a thorough, floor-ready budget that would not only curb Washington’s waste and balance our budget, but would also finish the border wall, fund our military, combat Communist China, save Medicare and Social Security from bankruptcy, and ban Critical Race Theory from being taught in our military and schools.
It also includes my legislation, the Agriculture Civil Rights and Equality Act, also known as the ACRE Act, which was a bill I introduced following a provision in the “so-called American Rescue Plan” that provided billions in debt relief assistance to some farmers while excluding others – based entirely on the color of their skin. Taxpayers shouldn’t be forced to finance unfair, unconstitutional racial quota systems, or a budget that racks up wasteful spending and exceeds income, as has been done for over the past 20 years.
member Congressman Byron Donalds on the Budget:
Chairman Congressman Jim Banks on the Budget:
Budget and Spending Task Force Chairman Representative Kevin Hern on the Budget:
The Republican Study Committee has a Floor-ready FY23 budget that will:
➡️balance the budget in 7 years
➡️secure our border
➡️cut taxes
➡️prop up our military
➡️fight over-regulation
➡️save Medicare & Social Security
This isn't just common sense, it's a blueprint to save America🇺🇸
Today, members of the Republican Study Committee and I held a press conference in front of the U.S. Capitol to unveil the RSC budget for FY 2023. The proposal serves as a counterweight to Joe Biden and Washington Democrats’ historic spending which has resulted in skyrocketing inflation and rising economic turmoil.
Our budget commits to balancing the federal budget in seven years, fully funding the border wall, protecting the sanctity of life, eliminating taxpayer dollars from funding Critical Race Theory in schools, making the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent, and saving Medicare and Social Security from bankruptcy, among other provisions.
