Great job, welcome!

Please join us in congratulating the four newest members of our agency.

From left to right: Capt. Osmundsen, Ofc. Siderio, Ofc. Heacock, Ofc. Sosa-Ruiz, Ofc. Ludman, and Lt. Perednas.

Tonight, these individuals graduated from the Cape May County Police Academy. This academy is one of the only four residential law enforcement training centers in the State of New Jersey.

Over the past 21-weeks, they have pushed themselves emotionally, mentally and physically by training each day and being away from their families to begin a law enforcement career with our agency.

We are immensely proud of the outstanding job they have done, and excited to have these officers joining our agency.

Sheriff Nolan along with all the men and women of our agency wish them all, successful and most importantly safe careers!

I’m so grateful that our officers participated and were able to contribute to this cause.

Next week (11/17 - 11/21) the Cape May County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a Mounted Policing Training Seminar within the County.

The training will have approximately 60 horses in attendance from 8 different states .

They will be convoying to different training locations around the County. We ask that you be patient and respectful of the trailers and horses if you encounter them.

Additionally, there will be formation rides and training evolutions in Cape May Point on Thursday 11/20. During this time there will be two separate groups of horses (appx. 30 each) operating in separate areas. One group will be conducting a formation ride out of Cape May Point State Park and on the beach, while the other group trains on the United State Coast Guard Base. This will occur between the hours of approximately 10am and 4pm with groups switching locations around noon; we ask all drivers to be attentive!

As many of you know, we love interacting with the public! Keep in mind that during this week these horses are working, training and on a tight schedule, so may not be able to stop for pictures or to talk.

Thank you all for your understanding and cooperation in helping make this event safe and successful. Please share and follow us for updates.

Our state needs change more than ever, Jack will bring that change and more. He has my full support.
