Today, Senator Tom Carper of Delaware, visited CHURCHILL to engage in a vital discussion on military affairs, personnel, recruiting, and the overall lifestyle on a warship. Senator Carper served as a Naval Flight Officer during the Vietnam War, completing three tours of duty in Southeast Asia, retiring from the Naval Reserve in 1991 as a Captain.
