👀 Have you ever wondered what it looks like behind the scenes at the LSE warehouse?

On the same day we brought our mural to life, we also hosted our first official warehouse tour! 💙

There’s something different about seeing the work firsthand. A tour gives you the chance to see where our kits come together, learn how they make their way into new homes, and better understand why something as simple as bedding, cookware, or a bath towel can make such a meaningful difference on move in day.

It’s also an opportunity to learn more about the many ways individuals, companies, and community groups can be part of the work, from sponsoring kits to participating in hands on volunteer experiences.

💙 It takes a community to turn housing into a home.

Through our Housing Hero Project, companies, foundations, and community supporters can help fund Welcome Home Kits for people transitioning into permanent housing.

Life Startup Essentials partners with TAPAZ, a program of Vitalyst Health Foundation, which serves as the fiscal sponsor for the project. Philanthropic dollars are accepted through TAPAZ and then help fund LSE’s work getting essential household kits where they’re needed.

Those kits can support people from all walks of life who are beginning a new chapter, including young adults transitioning out of foster care, veterans, survivors of domestic violence, families, and others moving into permanent housing.

And your organization can be part of the entire experience.

🎉 We have some exciting news!

Life Startup Essentials has been selected as a 2026 Community Builder Award recipient through First International Bank & Trust’s Live First Community Giving Campaign!

The $5,000 Live First Community Grant will help us take an exciting step forward by supporting the development of a new app to digitize and automate our order fulfillment process.

What does that mean for our communities? A more efficient LSE means more time and capacity to focus on what matters most: getting essential kits into the hands of the individuals, families, and community partners who need them.

Growth behind the scenes helps us create greater impact beyond our warehouse walls. 💙

🎨 Powered by Community is more than the theme of our new mural. It’s how we see the future of LSE.

Our mural project marked the beginning of something exciting: more opportunities to welcome volunteer groups into our warehouse to learn about our mission, see the work firsthand, and make an impact together.

We loved welcoming the Valley of the Sun Active 20-30 Club as one of the first groups to join us for a volunteer project, tour the LSE warehouse, and help bring our new mural to life. And this is just the beginning!

Our volunteer experiences are powered by sponsorships that help make these projects possible while supporting the essential kits we provide to individuals and families in our communities.

🎨 The secret is out! Our warehouse has a brand new look.

Designed by the incredibly talented Krista Hill of DreamBox Art and Lizzy Jane Doe, this mural was created to represent something at the very heart of Life Startup Essentials: community.

And we couldn't think of a better way to bring it to life than together. Our volunteers picked up their paintbrushes and helped transform the design into a permanent part of the LSE warehouse.

This space has always been a place that serves the community. Now, its walls tell the bigger story, that LSE is powered by community. By the artists who share their talents, the volunteers who give their time, the partners who believe in our mission, and every person who helps make a fresh start possible.

A huge thank you to Lizzy and Krista for turning that story into something we'll get to see every day. 💙💚

What you see here is more than a cart full of boxes. It's a shipment of hope, dignity, and everyday essentials that will soon help transform empty spaces into homes.

Inside each box are the items many of us use without a second thought. Bedding for a good night's sleep. Kitchen essentials for a first home cooked meal. Bath supplies to begin new routines. These simple comforts help make a home livable from day one.
