Headquartered in Montgomery, our staff, led by Executive Director Lindsey Ward, works to constantly serve its membership through legislation, information, representation, advocacy, education and special events, alongside board members and an experienced network of local leaders. Our Friends of Retirees/Employees Political Action Committee (FOREPAC) Actively participates in legislative, county and municipal elections. Retirees are receiving mailings about the upcoming bonus that will be distributed in October. Local Governments must pass a resolution by August 31st and send it to the Retirement Systems of Alabama to participate. We encourage local government retirees to join us so that we can share information with you to help make this happen in the timely manner that these date limitations demand.

It is helpful if those retirees who live in the area can attend upcoming city council and county commission meetings.

Call our office at 334-834-9116 to find out more about how you can help.

Why is this important? If you have been considering starting a new career after retiring, would like to know more about things that would help you with a business start up, or would like to develop or increase skills you already have to keep yourself sharp, this is a great way to take advantage of a program already available to you as a senior over 60.
