The SJOxACT team will be facilitating a virtual dialogue regarding the trials of Kyle Rittenhouse and Ahmaud Arbery’s killers. This is an emotionally-charged topic and we want to make space for our community to process the conflicting verdicts in a safe space with their peers. Join us on Tuesday, November 30th from 2:00-3:30pm on Zoom: https://washington.zoom.us/j/96604147626

Hey Huskies. We hope y'all are taking good care of yourselves as we approach the end of the quarter.

The SJOs have been working hard to wrap up our programs for the year while recognizing international and local crises continue to impact our lives, education, and capacity. We have compiled books, films, podcasts, and news sources that will help you learn more about Palestine, Yemen, and Colombia to stand in solidarity, help educate others, and be empowered in your own education. Don’t wait for someone to educate you; educate yourself. Understand the situation, listen to the stories of real people in the middle of these crises, and do not stop informing yourself and those around you. We are intent on bringing you accessible information, which is why all of the books, films, news sources, and podcasts we highlight are available to you for free as students through the UWB Library, Youtube, Pluto TV, Spotify, and/or Apple Podcasts. This list is not all-inclusive, and some content may require you to be critical when you engage with it. If you have any questions on accessing or finding more information, please reach out to the SJOs. We are happy to help you stay informed and act intentionally. 🤝

Do you have any resources we can recommend to our students and peers? 🤔 Leave your recommendations below! 👍
