🧑‍🚒 Remember. 🚒 Reflect. ❤️ Recognize.

On the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, our firefighters opened their doors to the community, hosting open houses at our fire stations across Dubuque to give community members a chance to share their recollections with us.

Within our department, we have seen the reverberations of 9/11 spread far and wide. It is our duty to honor our fire service brethren who gave their lives answering a call they could have never expected would come, as well as those who still carry the scars of that day.

“𝙒𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚, 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙥𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙙𝙤.”

🇺🇸 Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the strength and unity that followed September 11, 2001. We will never forget. ❤️🤍💙

In honor of the 25th anniversary of 9/11, the Dubuque Fire Department invites the community to join us for an Open House at all six fire stations from 8–10 a.m. Stop by to reflect, connect with your firefighters, and take a brief tour of your local station.

Never Forget. 🇺🇸

REMINDER: Dubuque Fire is hosting open houses at most of its fire stations to mark the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks this Friday morning.

Due to construction, Fire Station 5 (689 S. Grandview Ave.) is unable to host an open house. Instead, personnel from that station will join the open house being held at Fire Headquarters (11 W. 9th St.).

We look forward to seeing you on Friday!
