Call to action!

Nearly 2,800 households faced evictions in January alone, nearly double than pre-pandemic levels. This crisis did not come out of nowhere; These new evictions rates are coming immediately after the Oregon Legislature cut $129 million from eviction prevention in the 2025-2027 budget.

Join us and our community partners in calling for a restoration of $10m to eviction prevention funds to slow the rates of homelessness, displacement, and economic instability!

Fund Eviction Prevention, It works. 2,788 Oregon Families Faced Eviction in January That is a record high, nearly double the pre-pandemic average. This is an emergency happening right now, in courtrooms across Oregon. This crisis did not come out of nowhere. The legislature cut $129 million from evi...

We are calling for a restoration of $10m for eviction prevention funds to stem the rise in evictions and homelessness this legislative session.

As if there was a direct line of correlation, following the 74% defunding of eviction prevention services last legislative session, January of 2026 saw a massive spike in eviction filings.

These programs work, keeping thousands of Oregonian housed during an extremely unstable economic period. We call upon our legislative leaders to restore at least $4m of the funding cuts to stop the avalanche of expected evictions.

Oregon is witnessing a surge in eviction filings, with January 2026 marking the highest number recorded in five years, according to analysis by the Oregon Law Center.

Do you know your rights? Have questions about the difference between No and For cause evictions? We got you covered!

We have just updated and reconfigured our Renters Rights Guides*, improving on the accessibility and visual layout to make it easier than ever before to read. Our Mission is to empower tenants with information, resources, and the ability to advocate for themselves. The first step to doing this is knowing what your rights are!

A huge thank you to our Staff and Board of Directors for stepping in to make this project possible.

*Spanish language guides with these updates are still being developed and are expected in March 2026.
