Today, we unveiled the Bridgeman project, an affordable housing project on the near southside of Indy. In partnership with SEND, DMD was able to bring four newly developed rental units for youseholds estnonf less than 50% of the area median income.

The Bridgeman is named in honor of the late Anthony Bridgeman, a beloved community advocate and connector. Huge thank you to his wife, son, friends, and beloved family members for attending, speaking, and supporting the completion of this project.

DMD is a proud partner of SEND and continues to uplift the affordable housing work in communities across Indianapolis.

The City of Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development is proud to support legacy-extending projects like the Signia Hotel and Indiana Convention Center (ICC) expansion. Last month, representatives from the City of Indianapolis - Government, Visit Indy, Downtown Indy, Capital Improvement Board and City-County leadership Vop Osili and Michael-Paul Hart came together for a behind-the-scenes tour of this skyline altering construction project. The hotel is now more than halfway to its 38-story top out!

Strengthening the urban core to be stronger than ever before guides Mayor Hogsett’s Downtown Resiliency Strategy and the Signia Hotel and ICC expansion are a part that by supporting downtown's historic, current, and future economic drivers, like our thriving tourism industry. This and other downtown projects are also bringing new businesses for a growing workforce, new public amenities, and reimagined public spaces (like the revitalization of Georgia Street) where residents and visitors alike can come together.

Several Indy DMD representatives joined some of the best and brightest minds the IU Kelley School of Business has to offer as they presented during the Shiley Real Estate Development Case Competition. These students had to present to a large panel of judges how they would redevelop the former Indiana Women's Prison Site. Indy DMD is proud of the work of these students and is excited for the next generation of developers!

Thank you IU Indianapolis for allowing our team to participate in this year's panel and provide the case study for the students!
