As a free, public charter school, Scholarship Prep welcomes all students to enroll. An integral part of the Scholarship Prep program is to provide comprehensive, wraparound services to support our diverse foster/homeless youth population in achieving their unlimited potential. Foster/Homeless Youth and their families will receive additional guidance and support. We also support those students nee

Scholarship Prep Upland held its Spring Semester Awards last wee, recognizing Scholars for their academic achievements in front of the families and staff who show up for them every day. 🏆📚

Then Attention Detention took the stage.

Scholarship Prep Upland’s rock band club made their debut performance after the ceremony, opening with “Brain Stew” by Green Day and closing with “Seven Nation Army” by The White Stripes. These students banded together, learning how to play their instruments and command a crowd in only a few months 🎸🥁

The morning wrapped with a dessert party that’s always a highlight of award season.

Congratulations to the promoting kindergarten and 8th-grade classes of Scholarship Prep Upland!

With pomp, circumstance, and a whole lot of cheers, our Scholars accepted their certificates surrounded by the families, friends, and staff who have been rooting for them all year long.

For our 8th graders, this means stepping onto a bigger stage. High school is waiting, and we know you are ready for every opportunity ahead!

For our kindergarteners, it means arriving in August as first graders. They walked in as some of our youngest Scholars and end the academic year having already proven what they’re capable of in the years that await.

Thank you, families, for choosing Scholarship Prep Upland and for trusting us with something that matters so much. It’s a privilege to be part of your Scholar’s educational journey!

Before classroom instruction begins, there's Morning Meeting. ☀️

At Scholarship Prep Upland, every Scholar walks in and gets a real welcome, a warm breakfast, and a group activity that gets everyone laughing, thinking, and connected.

In Ms. Armstrong's class, Scholars even practiced greeting each other. Our teachers lead it. Our Scholars love it.

And just like that, the day is set up for success for our TK-8th-grade students! In every classroom, every school day.

Two weeks left in our inaugural year, and we started our day in the best way possible.

Kindergarten and 8th-grade Scholars and their families gathered at Scholarship Prep Upland for the Promotion Breakfast this morning, picking up caps and sharing a meal before the end-of-year excitement really kicks in. A chance to slow down, look around, and take in how far we have all come since August.

Thank you to every family who donated food and beverages. You made this morning possible, and you remind us why this community is something special.

You don't expect a class project to start a band. But that's exactly what happened at Scholarship Prep Upland. 🎸🤘

A group of middle schoolers discovered a shared love of rock music and took it further than anyone expected. They wrote a formal proposal for Principal Van Pool - instruments, budget, schedule - and she said yes.

Now they meet after school, learning drums, electric guitar, keys, bass, and vocals together. Most of them had never played before. Mr. Berumen is there to guide them, and they're figuring out the rest as a group.

Recently, they worked through the chords and rhythms of The White Stripes' Seven Nation Army. In May, they perform at the school talent show to close out Upland's inaugural school year.

From class project to live show, we can't wait to hear it! 🎵🔥

At Scholarship Prep Upland, STEM isn't something Scholars read about… it's something they do. 🔬🧪

Every Friday, our Scholars spend dedicated time asking questions, designing solutions, and testing ideas that sometimes fail spectacularly before they succeed. 🚀🪐

Last week, our families got a front-row seat to that process during our first STEM Open House. Scholars walked their special guests through experiments, demonstrated prototypes, and explained their engineering process with confidence. They weren't just displaying projects; they were running the lab! 🛠️🤖

💌 Are you feeling the love, Panthers? 🐾

At Scholarship Prep Upland, Valentine’s Day is about more than sweets. It’s about friendship, kindness, and a school community where students look out for one another. 💙🩵

This morning, more than 100 Candy Grams delivered by the Yearbook Club made their way through hallways and into classrooms, surprising friends and staff members with thoughtful notes and treats.

Earlier this month, Panther students stepped in front of the camera for festive Valentine’s Day photo shoots, all in support of this year’s yearbook! Thank you to everyone who participated.

Behind the scenes, Yearbook Club students are learning photography and graphic design as they design layouts and capture moments across campus. A huge thank you to Advisors Ms. Mazas, Office Manager, and Ms. Gonzalez, School Counselor, for the many hours they invest to make these opportunities possible.
