🌙 Night by Elie Wiesel
Some books tell a story. Others bear witness.
This October, Shelf-Indulgence will read Elie Wiesel's Night, his powerful account of his experiences as a Jewish teenager during the Holocaust. Short but profoundly moving, Night confronts suffering, faith, humanity, and what it means to endure when the world around you has lost its moral compass.
This will be a heavier discussion, but an important one.
🕯️ Come prepared to remember, reflect, and wrestle with difficult questions about faith, suffering, humanity, and hope.
📚Shelf Indulgence Book Club meets the first Thursday of the month at 5:00 PM at the library and anyone 18+ is welcome to join.

Duck Decorating!!
Join us for a fun and creative duck decorating activity on Thursday, October 29 from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm! Get creative and add your own unique touches. It's going to be quack-tastic!
This program will be held at the Library in our new Community Room!

Celebrate with us!!
Friday, October 23 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm
Adults and kids alike, come help us celebrate the re-opening of our library!! Enjoy Storytime with Carol Curry, snacks, crafts, and explore the improved kids reading and play area!
This program is hosted by the Friends of the Upland Public Library.

BOOK CLUB UPDATE!!
October's book club has been rescheduled due to the moving delay.
Book club will now meet on Thursday, October 15 at 5:00 PM in the new library space!

UPDATE: The Library will now re-open on Tuesday, October 6!!
The Library will be CLOSED Friday Sept.4 - Saturday, October 3 for our move back to the new library space! There will be NO holds pick up and NO programs during this time. Due Dates will be pushed back until October 6, so keep those books at home!
The Library Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening event will be Thursday, October 8 at 4:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend!
The Library will re-open with full services Tuesday, October 6.
