Residents of District 4 here’s your chance to give the city feedback as to what you would like to see in your communities parks and have it added to the parks master plan. Although this town hall is for parks in district 4, this is also open to the entire community of Upland. I’m excited to hear what kind of amenities our residents would like to have in our parks.

We’re aware of a Burrtec billing issue and want to reassure residents that it has been identified and corrected. The City does not change service rates without public notice and an opportunity for residents to provide input. No new City-approved rate changes occurred.⁠

Burrtec confirmed a billing error related to organics and recycling barrels that affected some customers during the November and December 2025 billing period. Customers who were incorrectly charged for additional organics and recycling barrels will receive a full credit on their next bill. Customers may also deduct those charges now and pay the remaining balance.⁠

If you have questions about your bill, please contact Burrtec directly at (909) 949-0500. The City will continue to monitor the situation and ensure affected customers have been properly credited.

After seven long months of late nights working on the old Packard, she didn’t disappoint and made it through Uplands Hometown Holiday Parade with no issues. I’d like to thank the Upland community for its attendance and bringing joy to downtown Upland. From the Zuniga/ Gibson families we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Today the community and city staff came together to move mountains of mulch at the new all inclusive playground at Olivedale Park. Lots of hard work but afterwards…, it was time to play and boy did all the kids have a blast some of the adults did too. I want to thank all the volunteers and staff members that came out to assist with the final touches so we could open the playground today. If you weren’t able to enjoy the new playground today, make sure to add it to your list and swing by to check it out.

The wait is over!!! Come join us as we celebrate the opening of the newest all inclusive playground in Upland located at “Olivedale Park” between 8th & Olive st and Campus & Sultana. Hockey time…. Thanks to Upland Recreation and the Hockey Tots program, Zayen not only learned to ice skate but he’s advanced all the way up to the full gear program. His daddy would have been proud to see his lil boy following in his footsteps
