Tomorrow is our Executive Exchange Expo: Technology Edition!

We took real challenges from County agencies and handed them to top tech innovators. On May 28, they’re coming back with bold, practical solutions you can see in action.

The Tech Lounge will turn into a live innovation floor with interactive demos, real‑time problem‑solving, and incredible food from two PG County chefs.

If last month’s Expo was any indication, you’ll want to be in the room for this one.

Today we’re celebrating cleaner commutes, healthier habits and the incredible community that keeps our county moving. Whether you’re riding for fun, fitness or your daily commute, you’re part of a growing movement that supports sustainability, wellness and connected neighborhoods.

From our scenic trails to our bustling town centers, Prince George’s is built for riders. Thank you to everyone who joined early‑morning pit stops, supported local cycling groups and helped make today a celebration of movement and community pride.

Let’s keep the momentum going. Ride safe, ride proud and enjoy the journey.

Prince George’s County, welcome to Preakness Week.

Today, County Executive Aisha N. Braveboy hit Main Street in Laurel with Mayor Keith Sydnor to kick things off, and our community showed out in the best way. The food, the culture, the history and the people are what make this county shine, and these businesses brought all the energy.

• Caribe Express — Fresh, bold, made‑from‑scratch Caribbean flavor that hits the moment you walk in. Sean and his team are serving up food with heart, and you can taste it in every bite.

• El Buen Gusto Panaderia — From warm tamales to pan dulce to the softest Tres Leches cake, this bakery is a true taste of Latin American tradition. The smells alone could stop traffic on Main Street.

• White’s Barbershop Co. — More than a barbershop. It’s community, culture and connection all in one space. Brian has built a place where people feel seen, supported and at home.

These businesses represent the spirit of Prince George’s County; creative, resilient, rooted in culture and ready for the spotlight as we head into Preakness on May 16.

Let’s support our restaurants, our shops and our local entrepreneurs all week long. This is how PG County celebrates Preakness.

Prince George’s County carries a legacy that runs deeper than the track. As the County Executive toured Belair Mansion, she stepped into a place where horse racing history was shaped, champions were trained and African American grooms, riders and trainers built the foundation of an entire industry.

From the Belair Stud dynasty to the countless Black horsemen whose skill powered Maryland racing, this history belongs to us. It is a story of excellence, resilience and tradition that still lives in Prince George’s County today.

As we head into Preakness weekend, we honor that legacy and celebrate the businesses, restaurants and partners across the county who keep the spirit of racing alive. The excitement is building, the traditions are strong and Prince George’s County is ready.

Preakness is this Saturday, May 16.
Let’s show the world how PG County does it.
