A historic moment for Prince George’s County!

Two weeks ago, we were proud to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Civic Plaza at the Wayne K. Curry Administration Building, the first signature project of the transformative Blue Line Corridor initiative.

This monumental step marks the beginning of a new era of growth, innovation, and community-centered development for our county.

The Civic Plaza will become a dynamic public space—connecting residents, businesses, and visitors—while honoring the spirit and identity of our community.

PGAHC is excited to work on and support projects that weave arts, culture, and community into the fabric of Prince George’s future.

Last week, we had the incredible opportunity to co-host a special teen design charrette with the talented students of Suitland High School’s Center for Visual and Performing Arts!

As part of the ongoing Suitland Cultural Arts Implementation Strategy—in partnership with the MNCPPC Planning Department and the Department of Parks and Recreation —this charrette gave young artists a platform to share their vision for the future of arts and culture in their community.

Youth engagement is critical to the success of community transformation, and the creativity, insight, and passion these students brought to the conversation were truly inspiring. Their voices are helping to shape a Suitland that reflects the spirit, artistry, and dreams of the next generation.

We are honored to continue supporting this vital work and ensuring the future of the arts in Prince George’s County is built by and for the community.
