By now, you may have seen this letter circulating on our town's pages.

‼️Here's the bottom line: we urgently need volunteers.‼️

Without more help, we risk being shut down — and losing the quality emergency care that USR residents have come to depend on. Our community has 8,000 residents and employees who rely on us. Eight people simply cannot do it alone.

Here's how you can help:

🚑 Work in healthcare? We'll fast-track your EMT certification.

🚗 Not in the medical field? We’ll help you get certified to be an EMT. We need drivers too — help us get our ambulances where they need to go.

We're especially looking for coverage overnight on weekdays and days/nights on weekends.

No experience? No problem. Just a willingness to serve your community.

A Blizzard Warning has been issued for Bergen County for Sunday February 22nd starting at 1pm through Monday February 23rd at 6pm. Residents and Motorists are asked to stay off the road to allow plow crews to operate safely and clear the roads. White out conditions with less than a quarter mile of visibility is likely creating hazardous travel conditions. Please limit travel and use caution.

Happy National First Responders Day! 🚑

Today, we’re taking a moment to recognize the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of all first responders — especially our amazing USR EMS members! Thank you for dropping everything when the call comes in, for showing up no matter the hour, and for serving our community with heart and skill.

We’re also sending huge appreciation to our partners in service — the Upper Saddle River Fire Department, Upper Saddle River Police, our local hospital paramedics, and our incredible dispatchers who keep everything running behind the scenes.

From late-night calls to life-saving teamwork, you’re what community is all about.

Behind every siren is a neighbor, a friend, a fellow community member who’s trained and ready to respond when you need help the most. We’re proud to serve this town with heart, courage, and dedication — but we can’t do it alone.

Around 1:30 this morning, our dedicated volunteers had a transport to Valley Health System, in addition to several calls over the weekend and a whopping 8 calls on Friday — as always, we’ll be here for you 24/7/365.

But we need your help. We’re looking for new members, including EMT’s & Drivers. No experience? Don’t worry. We’ll train you!
