🐾 Upper St. Clair scored five touchdowns after a quiet opening 10 minutes and pulled away for a 35-0 victory over Mt. Lebanon in the season opener, extending its winning streak against the Blue Devils to five games.

The Panthers will take the momentum from the 35-0 victory into their next game when they travel to North Allegheny. 🙌

🐾 USCHS senior Abby Mascaro is among the 40 girls soccer players named to the annual watch list for the Moe Rosensteel Most Outstanding Player Award.

The award aims to recognize the WPIAL’s best player. The watch list is compiled by a committee of organizers, coaches and media members. Finalists are usually announced later in the season, and the winner traditionally has been unveiled after the PIAA finals in November. 🙌

🐾 The Upper St. Clair Marching Band Festival is set to return to Panther Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026 – following a seven-year hiatus. The event, featuring eight local marching bands, begins at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults and are available online. In addition to performances, the band festival will feature food trucks, candy grams, air grams, a 50/50 raffle and a bake sale. 🙌

🐾 USCHS senior Ryan Robbins has been named to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's preseason Fab 22!

There are many fabulous players in the WPIAL and City League, but only the best of the best will be recognized when the Post-Gazette releases its annual Fabulous 22 team — a Thanksgiving Day tradition since 1980.

But with that still being three months away and the season beginning Friday, the PG unveiled its preseason Fab 22. These are some of the top players to watch heading into the 2026 season. 🙌

🐾 An Upper St. Clair High School teen has enlisted the help of thousands of friendly Japanese monsters to bring smiles to the faces of those staring down real-life beasts like sickness, poverty and trauma.

In what began as a school capstone project, 16-year-old Vikrant Kamat has flipped Pokémon’s “Gotta catch ’em all” tagline on its head. His Happy Card Club has donated more than 10,000 trading cards featuring the Japanese anime fantasy creatures solely to bring smiles to the faces of kids at places like UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrence­ville, Pittsburgh Public Schools, the Wilkinsburg-based Foster Love Project, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and more. 🙌

🐾 Second-best doesn’t play well at Upper St. Clair. So after years of almost, the Panthers are prepared to finish this football season.

“Expectations here never change,” said Mike Junko, who enters his eighth season as USC head coach. “Challenge for a conference title and find a way to win a WPIAL championship.”

The Panthers own seven district titles, the last coming in 2006. They were WPIAL runners-up in 2022 and back-to-back semifinalists in 2024 and 2025. 🙌
