Our Police Chief Jared Lucas and Law Director/Municipal Court Prosecutor Ben Buckland enjoyed connecting with students from Upper Sandusky and Carey at last week’s Wyandot Sophomore Career Showcase. Students explored fingerprinting techniques, how individuals are charged with crimes, and other aspects of careers in law enforcement and public service.

Personnel from the Upper Sandusky Fire Department and Upper Sandusky Police Department joined other local first responders and community members at today’s Wyandot County DocuDrama.

This impactful event gives high school juniors and seniors a firsthand look at a mock crash scene and coordinated emergency response, highlighting the consequences of impaired driving and reinforcing the sobering reality of its impact, as well as what first responders face, and the lasting effects on families, friends, and the entire community.

Thank you to everyone who helped organize and participate in this important experience.
