While Wyandot County currently has ZERO confirmed cases of measles, we are preparing for exposures and illness of Wyandot County residents due to the recent outbreak in central Ohio.

Please note:
👉 Unvaccinated persons, including children, who are exposed to someone who is sick with measles MUST QUARANTINE for 21 days and monitor for symptoms.

👉 There is a 72-hour period after exposure in which a person may be vaccinated against measles eliminating the need to quarantine. However, due to the process of disease tracking it is LIKELY you won't be notified about exposure until after the 72-hour period has passed.

👉 Children 12-15 months old should receive the first dose of the MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) vaccine and are due for their second dose between the ages of 4-6 years old. Teens and adults who have no prior history of MMR vaccination or who have received only one dose of MMR should be vaccinated too.
