UVFC units responded and assisted on a fully involved barn fire on Tuesday afternoon. First in units reported a fully involved barn fire with several exposures including a camper and a classic car. While the barn, camper and car were a total loss. All of the live stock was safe and accounted for.

Tomorrow August 19th our Derby season continues. Come out and see us for a full day of car crashing family fun. Gates open at 1pm. Driver meet & great starts at 2pm. Car crashing action at 4pm. Today at the Maryland State Firemans Convention in Ocean City our Junior Fire Co. members recieved the Edwin Emkey Junior / Cadet award. We were able to have 6 of our members here to recive the award. Tomorrow they will participate in the parade.
