The Upton Police Department would like to extend our sincere thanks to Maya Mexican Cocina & Tekila Bar for their thoughtful generosity during Public Service Recognition Week.

Last week, the Maya team dropped off meals for our officers and public safety staff as a kind gesture of appreciation. Their support was greatly appreciated by everyone here at the department.

We are fortunate to serve in a community where local businesses continue to show such strong support for public safety and public service.

Thank you to the entire Maya team for thinking of us and for helping make our day a little brighter. We truly appreciate it! 🌮💙

🚧 PUBLIC NOTICE: Kiwanis Beach Temporary Closure 🚧

The Upton Department of Public Works will be conducting scheduled maintenance at Kiwanis Beach next week.

Please be advised that Kiwanis Beach and the lower parking lot will be closed from Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8 while this work is completed.

✅ Athletic fields and courts will remain open. Visitors may access those areas by using the upper parking lot on Cider Mill Lane.

🐾New custom patches have been created to support K9 Officer Koda!🐾

🚓A limited supply of patches are available for purchase at the Upton Police Department and are being sold for $10 each. All proceeds support the food, training, maintenance and equipment for Koda. We currently accept cash, check or Venmo (-Upton-Police) for payment.🚓

📢 Grant Award Announcement

The Upton Police Department has been awarded $25,197 to support the upgrade and expansion of its body-worn camera program.

UPD has utilized in-car video systems since the 1990s and introduced body-worn cameras in 2020 as part of our continued commitment to transparency, accountability, and professional policing. This funding will be used to replace aging equipment, improve system reliability, and enhance digital evidence collection—ensuring we continue to follow best practices while serving the Upton community.

This grant award was made possible by funding from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS), Office of Grants and Research (OGR).
