It's time to Get Ready for the 2025 River to Rail Ride on September 13, 2025!

Hosted by the Vermilion County Conservation District, this year's event will once again have well-marked, low traffic, scenic routes across the Middle Fork River Valley starting at Kennekuk County Park's White Oak Barn. Three of the routes will take cyclists to the Vermilion County section of the Kickapoo Rail Trail which includes the 1/4-mile Trestle Bridge 90 feet above the Middle Fork River. The fourth route will stay within Kennekuk County Park, perfect for beginning cyclists and families with young children.

Registration prices have remained the same since 2022 and include SAG stops and support along the routes, a t-shirt (if you register by August 28), and lunch. Details about the event, including maps for the 63-mile, a new 50-mile, 30-mile, and 7.5-mile routes, can be found at https://RtoR2025.eventbrite.com. Sponsorship opportunities are also available! For questions, please contact Lara Danzl at [email protected], 217-442-1691. All proceeds from this event will benefit the continued development of the Kickapoo Rail Trail.

Register by August 28 to receive a t-shirt! (Registrations after August 28 will not receive a t-shirt)
