🏠 Stable Housing Support Available for Champaign County Residents with Disabilities

Through a partnership between the Housing Authority of Champaign County and PACE Inc., funding has begun, while funds last, to help eligible residents secure and maintain stable housing.

Assistance may include:
• Security deposits
• Application fees
• Rental assistance
• Eviction prevention support

This program is designed for Champaign County residents living with disabilities who are at risk of becoming unhoused, experiencing housing instability, or need help obtaining or maintaining permanent housing.

Ready to become a homeowner? Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County may be able to help.

The Habitat Homebuyer Program is now accepting applications for families and individuals who are ready to take the next step toward affordable homeownership.

Through this program, qualified applicants may have the opportunity to purchase a home with an affordable mortgage, often making homeownership more realistic than traditional options. This is a great opportunity for renters, first-time buyers, or anyone looking for a stable place to call home.

The 2026 Homebuyer Program Application Period runs Tuesday, June 2 at 10 AM through Tuesday, June 16 at 5 PM.

For questions, contact [email protected] or call 217-819-5113.

Please share this post with anyone who may be ready for homeownership or knows a family who could benefit from this opportunity.

Mobility Equipment Available — Help Someone Regain Comfort, Safety, and Independence

I currently have a Hoyer lift and a sit-to-stand lift available for someone who may need extra support with safe transfers at home.

These pieces of equipment can make a huge difference for individuals with limited mobility, caregivers, families, and anyone caring for a loved one who needs help moving from a bed, chair, wheelchair, or recliner.

Rather than letting this equipment sit unused, I’d love for it to go to someone who truly needs it.

Whether it’s for you, a family member, a friend, or someone in your community, please reach out. This could be a real blessing for someone needing safer care and more independence.

Message me for details, availability, and pickup information.

Please share so we can get this equipment into the hands of someone who needs it.

We had a great evening bringing together students for a fun night with their peers. Events like this give teens the chance to connect, relax, build friendships, and enjoy time together outside of the regular program setting.
A huge thank-you to Jet’s Pizza🍕for sponsoring the food and helping make the night even better! Your support means so much to our students and our program.
We’re grateful for everyone who helped make this event possible and for the amazing teens who showed up, participated, and made the night special.
