Now Hiring: Economic Development Manager
The City of Urbana is seeking an Economic Development Manager to lead efforts that strengthen our local economy, support businesses, attract investment, and advance community revitalization.
This leadership position oversees the City’s Economic Development Division and plays a key role in business attraction and retention, downtown development, TIF and Enterprise Zone programs, development agreements, economic incentives, strategic planning, and economic growth initiatives. The Manager also leads and mentors staff and works closely with businesses, developers, community partners, City departments, and regional organizations.
Annual Salary: $94,993.43–$156,739.17
Starting Salary Range: $94,993.43–$125,866.29
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, urban planning, real estate, or a related field, along with five years of progressively responsible economic or real estate development experience, including two years of supervisory experience.
