📚 Come meet a children’s book creator!

Join artist and author Penny C. Wang for a fun, family-friendly look behind the pages of her award-winning book, Two Duck Tales!

Penny will share how she brought two parallel stories together into one unexpected ending, plus a peek into her creative process. She’ll also explore the differences between digital illustration and hand-painted book art and how each can bring a story to life.

Come curious, ask questions and see what goes into creating a children’s book from idea to finished pages!

☀️ Make a little sunshine art together!

Grab your favorite little human and join Artist in the Community artist Emma for Cyanotypes in the Park — a creative outdoor workshop where nature meets art!

You’ll start with a short nature walk to collect leaves, flowers and other natural treasures, then use them to create your own cyanotype (aka sun print). Each caregiver-and-child pair will make two unique framed prints to take home and remember your creative time together.

The workshop is designed for one-on-one time, connection and a little creative exploration — no art experience needed!
