For everyone asking why power bills have risen so dramatically, here is a great tool that breaks down the additional costs mandated by the General Assembly — not Dominion.

I reviewed my own bills, and the added cost in January was more than $80, compared to about $35 in April. These policies are hitting families the hardest during the months when electricity demand is highest and many are already struggling to cover basic utility costs. Much of the increase stems from the Virginia Clean Economy Act.

It’s time to repeal this legislation and eliminate these mandated costs.
