We are grateful to have welcomed so many to our 49th Annual Pow-Wow this past weekend, and are without words for the unimaginable loss the wildfires continue to inflict on our neighboring reservations and communities throughout the Inland Northwest. A moment of silence, recognition, and prayer was held for all who have been affected by these fires.

Our region is home to some of the most beautiful rivers, trees, animals, and people. We are at our best when we stand together and care for one another.

To those who have been impacted, our prayers are with you.

Pictured here is the canoe landing from Friday, where roughly 75 participants representing 7 Tribes, Kalispel, Spokane, Colville, Coeur d’Alene, Flathead, Wanapum, and Yakama, completed their week long journey.

We thank everyone for the prayers, strength, and songs for those affected by the wildfires. Please stay safe out there!

We had the immense privilege of hosting the Egypt National Team during their historic World Cup run and will treasure the items signed by the team during their stay for years to come.

Northern Quest Resort & Casino was the first ever Native owned property to host as a team base camp and we were incredibly honored to be part of the Pharaohs’ milestone filled journey. They secured their first match victory in a World Cup tournament, advanced to the group stage for the first time, and also won their first knockout match. It was thrilling to have been their home away from home during this incredible run!

We can now say the Kalispel family has extended across the globe into new waters as we shared cultural experiences with Team Egypt, and we are certain the relationships woven here will continue far beyond this moment.

The Kalispel Tribe, with the team members and employees we consider our extended family, welcomed them as guests and are proud to say they left as friends.
